What an as-built survey and drawings cost, what's included, and how to keep the price down by recording the as-built from scans already taken.
Guide price: an as-built survey costs from £595 per visit, including as-built drawings in DWG and PDF and the registered point cloud. If we've already scanned the finished surface, the as-built drawing is from £295 with no extra visit. Before VAT, travel included within 50 miles of Corby.

What drives the price
How much there is to record
A straight road with a few gullies is quicker than a network of roads, private drives and parking courts with dozens of covers. We price from your layout, so you know the cost before we book.
Drawing requirements
A clean as-built in our standard layers is included. If your engineer or the adopting authority needs a particular CAD standard, title block or layer naming, tell us and we'll include it in the price.
Doing it alongside the QC surveys
The cheapest as-built is the one drawn from a scan we already took. If we're checking the surface course or tarmac depth on a phase, the as-built can come from the same data.

How much does an as-built survey cost?
From £595 per visit with Dimensure, which typically covers a phase of estate road with its footpaths and drainage covers, or a group of completed plots, including as-built drawings in DWG and PDF and the point cloud. Larger phases are priced from the layout. Prices are before VAT.
Is it cheaper if you've already scanned the site?
Yes. If we scanned the finished surface for a road level or tarmac depth survey, drawing the as-built from that scan starts from £295, with no extra site visit.
What makes an as-built survey cost more?
The length of road and number of covers, opening chambers to record inverts, a specific CAD layer standard to follow, live traffic or restricted access, and very short deadlines.
